Video Game Voters Network Enrolls 150,000

| | Comments (0)
ESAThe Entertainment Software Association (the ESA – the trade organization that represents video game publishers) announced that the Video Game Voters Network (VGVN) has reached 150,000 members.
The ESA formed the VGVN to enroll voting-age gamers in the fight against "unnecessary government regulation" that the ESA was already waging in several states and at the federal level. As Michael Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer of the ESA said, "We know that from California to New York and state capitols in between, members of the VGVN directly contacted their representatives and expressed their opinions.... Politicians who think easy political points can be scored at the First Amendment's expense need to know that such efforts will be aggressively opposed by the gamer community."
