Sony Opens PlayStation 3 to Dynamic Advertising, IGA Providing PlayStation 3 Ads for EA Games

In-Game advertising provider IGA Worldwide will provide dynamic advertising content for several of Electronic Arts' games on the PlayStation 3 for the next two years.
IGA will provide ads for many of EA's sports titles (including Madden NFL Football, NBA Live Basketball, NASCAR Racing and NHL Hockey) as well as the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises on Sony's latest console. This means that gamers playing those franchises on the PlayStation 3 will see ads provided by IGA as part of the game, rather than seeing the ads or backgrounds that were programmed into the game when it first shipped to stores.

This dynamic advertising is possible because Sony has chosen to open up the PlayStation 3 to dynamic ads, with IGA as Sony's first partner in delivering such advertisements.
