Rock Band 2 Coming in September

| | Comments (0)
Rock BandHarmonix, part of MTV Games (and, therefore, Viacom) and Electronic Arts confirmed that they are working on Rock Band 2 for release this September for the Xbox 360, and a later date for other platforms.
As much as Rock Band 2 is being touted as a "next evolution of the franchise," it sounds like more of an update or polish that introduces another instrument than a true sequel. And perhaps a way to make owners of the original Rock Band buy new software and peripherals to access new downloadable content.

Rock Band 2 will be backwards compatible with downloadable songs for the original Rock Band, will feature "new and dynamic online modes" and while it will remain compatible with the original peripherals, will include a greater variety of instrument choices and updated peripherals.
