Microsoft Shuffles Game Executives
Microsoft has restructured the leadership of its Interactive Entertainment business, driven by the resignation of Jeff Bell as the corporate Vice President of Global Marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Business.
Shane Kim, who has spent nearly five years leading Microsoft Game Studios, will become corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, reporting directly to Don Mattrick (Senior Vice President of the Interactive Entertainment Business).
Phil Spencer, previously the General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios Europe, will assume control of Microsoft's first-party worldwide development and publishing efforts.
Mattrick said, "We're strategically positioning the leadership team to drive every aspect of the Xbox business to new heights.... Today's organizational announcements align us to accelerate this expansive growth."
