Mad Catz Confirms Slightly Lower Fiscal Year Results

MadCatzIn a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz confirmed its financial results for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2008.
For the year, Mad Catz reported net income of $3.168 million, compared to net income of $3.705 million in the previous year. In a brief description of the company's business, it is seeing a decline in sales of peripherals related to the last generation of consoles, but sales of peripherals for new consoles are increasing. During the past year, Mad Catz acquired Saitek increasing the company's sales (particular of PC peripherals in Europe). Essentially, sales were down, but the company's margins were up, leading to relatively flat results compared with last year.
