Infogrames Reports Smaller Annual Loss

| | Comments (0)
Infogrames, parent of Atari, reported its financial results for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2008.
For the year, Infogrames reported a net loss of €51.1 million (around $79.2 million) compared to a net loss of €103.1 million in the previous year.

Infogrames is in the middle of what it calls the Atari transformation – a reorganization plan that the company expects will allow it to return to profitability within 18 months. As one might expect, the effort includes an effort to "reduce cost, improve communication and efficiency of business processes." The company is also trying to redirect its development investments away from competitive genres into new categories.
