1C Expands Into Console Publishing

Russian publisher 1C announced that it has expanded its publishing efforts to consoles. At the Russian Consulate in San Francisco (at an event dubbed "Another Night in Moskva") announced that it will publish games for consoles and revealed upcoming titles for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
1C is internally developing Captain Blood, based on the Rafael Sabatini novels, for the Xbox 360. The game is set in the Caribbean during the height of piracy, and features one-on-one combat, large melees on land and ship battles.

1C also plans to bring IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey to consoles, based on 1C's acclaimed flight-simulation franchise. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are being developed by Gaijin Entertainment, while DiP Interactive is developing a version of the game for the DS and Beatshapers is developing the PSP version.
