Guitar Hero World Tour in Development

| | Comments (0)
Activision confirmed that it is hard at work on Guitar Hero World Tour for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PlayStation 2.
Guitar Hero World Tour will be a "cooperative band experience" including a redesigned guitar, drum kit and microphone, making it into a product that will compete directly with the extra instruments offered in Rock Band.

Activision is promising "the largest on-disc set list in a music-rhythm game to-date" along with plenty of localized, downloadable content for the game. Beyond the ability to play along to the game's many songs, Activision is promising a music studio within the game that will allow players to create music from scratch using the game's instruments and to share those compositions online with other gamers.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are being developed by Neversoft. Vicarious Visions is taking care of the Wii version, and Budcat is developing the PlayStation 2 version.
