SCi Gets Expression of Interest from Infogrames

| | Comments (0)
SCi Entertainment, parent of Eidos, recently confirmed that it is going ahead with a plan to raise significant cash in the capital markets through a stock offering. SCi Entertainment also confirmed that it has received an indicative acquisition offer from Infogrames (parent of Atari).
The Infogrames offer is not firm, and at this time the SCi board is not planning to pursue the offer. Even so, SCi confirmed that the offer "recognises the strengths of both companies" and is not subject to financing. In other words, SCi isn't planning to change its current course of action, but should Infogrames make a real offer (and not just suggest it might make an offer), SCi might be interested.
