Psychologists Find People Tired After Playing Warcraft
Today, a team from Middlesex University is presenting the results of their research concerning the link between games and violence to the British Psychological Society in Dublin.
The team, led by Jane Barnett examined 292 World of Warcraft players between 12 and 83 years of age. These gamers were asked to complete a questionnaire on "anger, aggression and personality," play WoW for two hours and then complete the questionnaire again.
While there were differences between the respondents, based on age, personality and gender, gamers were more likely to feel calm or tired after playing, rather than angry or aggressive.
