Games for Windows Magazine Joins Computer Games Magazine in its Demise
Games for Windows: The Official Magazine, the publication that used to be Computer Gaming World, is going away. The last issue of the magazine is the April/May 2008 issue that is currently on sale.
Ziff Davis is billing the cancellation as "...transitioning from a print publication to an online-exclusive destination in a move to best serve the PC gaming community and the increased interest of PC gaming-focused online advertising." So, the magazine will no longer be printed, and the content will be fully transitioned to 1UP.com.
