Blockbuster Expands Game Sales
Blockbuster, the chain that began life exclusively as a movie rental store, has decided to enter the game retailing business at full tilt.
Not only will consumers now be able to rent video games, Blockbuster plans to offer retail game sales (along with console and accessory sales) at all of its United States store. Gamers will now be able to go to Blockbuster to purchase games and accessories. To promote sales, Blockbuster plans to offer its own bundles with consoles and will dedicate part of its "New Release" wall to video games.
