Majesco Reports Improved First Quarter

Majesco Games revealed its financial results for its fiscal first quarter ended January 31, 2008.
During the quarter, Majesco reported net income of $2.702 million, compared to a net loss of $0.926 million in the same quarter the previous year. Majesco attributed much of the quarter's success to the Cooking Mama games.

Reflecting Majesco's transition to casual games, 58.1% of the company's revenues came from DS games and 39.8% of revenues came from Wii games during the quarter. Sales were almost solely in North America.
