Zune to Play XNA Games

Microsoft's Zune hasn't met with the success that the software behemoth hoped, but it has established itself in the market. Early in the Zune's development, there was considerable speculation as to whether the Zune would be a gaming device. While Microsoft repeatedly assured consumers it could play games, the extent of that capability has been unclear and largely unsupported. Today, at the Game Developers Conference, Microsoft confirmed that XNA (Microsoft's game development platform) will also support the Zune, making it easy for XNA game designers to create games for Microsoft's handheld playback device.
