WiiWare to Launch on May 12

Nintendo announced that its downloadable game service for the Wii, WiiWare, will launch in North America on May 12.
WiiWare has been in the works for some time, and will allow developers of all levels of sophistication to create downloadable games for the Wii console that can be purchased with Wii points. While the development tools are already in the hands of developers, the first games will launch on May 12.
