THQ Reports Lesser Third Quarter Income

THQ announced the financial results for its fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2007.
During the quarter, THQ reported net income of $15.507 million compared to net income of $62.055 million in the same quarter the previous year. THQ noted that sales for the quarter were fueled primarily by sales of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, Cars: Mater-National and MX vs. ATV Untamed.


As previously disclosed THQ's results include around $27 million in charges related to the cancelation of projects, write-downs and amortization charges. 54.6% of THQ's revenues come from North America. By platform, 25.6% of revenues came from PlayStation 2 game sales, 20.2% came from DS game sales and 12.3% came from Xbox 360 game sales (with the remainder from other platforms).
