Blizzard Entertainment is introducing a new form of tournament in its massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft.
The tournament will focus on competitive gaming in isolation from the long grind of character development. Players will have to pay to enter into the competition ($20/€15/£12/20,000 Won/NT$450) and will be eligible to win thousands of dollars of prices, leading up to a $75,000 worldwide grand prize. Characters will be created as level 70 characters with epic equipment.
