We've already heard Microsoft gloat about holiday sales and Sony tout its 1.2 million PlayStation 3 consoles sold over the holidays, but Nintendo has been quiet since Thanksgiving. Today, Nintendo was gloating about its sales for all of 2007, based on numbers from the third-party analytics group, NPD group.
According to NPD, Wii Play sold 4.1 million copies and Super Mario Galaxy sold 2.5 million copies. Also, each Brain Age game sold one million copies. Nintendo sold 7.4 million Wii systems and 17.6 million DS systems. All of those hardware and software numbers are only for the United States.
