Infogrames Gets a New CEO and New Board Leadership
Infogrames Entertainment, French game publisher and parent of Atari, has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer and new board members.
David Gardner, who spent 24 years with Electronic Arts (departing in 2007), will take over immediately as CEO of Infogrames Entertainment. Gardner will be responsible for "implementing a new brand and online vision for the Group" as well as "rejuvenating the Atari brand name." Gardner was selected by a committee led by Gina Germano, an Infogrames Director and representative of BlueBay Asset Management (a company that has loaned Infogrames considerable funds).
Infogrames has appointed Michel Combes as Chairman of its Board and Dominique D'Hinnin as Vice-Chairman of the Board. Combes has been on the board since October and is Chairman and CEO of Tele Diffusion de France. D'Hinnin has been on the board since 2005 and is Chief Financial Officer for the Lagardere Group.
