ESA Crows About Overall Game Sales
The Entertainment Software Association (the ESA) wants everyone to be aware that the NPD Group calculated computer and video game software sales as reaching $9.5 billion in 2007.
Even more important than the total number, the ESA wants to focus on the fact that (by unit sales) only 16% of games were rated "Mature" and that "Family Entertainment" constituted 17.2% of all games sold in 2007 (up from 9.1% in 2006).
