Re-Review of Manhunt 2 U.K. Rating is Granted
The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has gotten the go-ahead to pursue judicial review of the U.K. Video Appeals Committee decision to rate Manhunt 2.
As regular readers know by know, the BBFC initially (and after game revisions) refused to give Manhunt 2 (from Take-Two Interactive's Rockstar label) a rating, thus preventing the game's distribution in the U.K. Take-Two Interactive appealed the decision to the Video Appeals Committee, that decided to allow the game to receive the most restrictive classification, but allowing the game to be distributed. Because the BBFC's request for judicial review of the appeal has been granted (but the case won't be heard until January), Manhunt 2 can not be distributed until after the review of the appeal. So Take-Two Interactive will not get Manhunt 2 into UK stores this year.
