Sony Makes Changes to Make PlayStation 3 Programming More Accessible

| | Comments (0)
Sony has made changes to the pricing and content of the PlayStation 3 Software Development Kit (SDK) to make PlayStation 3 development more accessible.
Most importantly for smaller developers, Sony has reduced the cost of the PlayStation 3 reference tool to $10,250 (¥950,000 and €7,500). That's nearly half the previous pricing, making it more affordable for those on a small budget. Also, the SDK will now include programming tools from SN Systems, including ProDS, the SN Distributed Build System, SN Linker and SN Compiler. Beyond that, Debugging Stations will be usable for programming once the station is updated to the latest SDK.
