Ubisoft Reports First-Half Financial Results, Assassin's Creed is Delayed

| | Comments (0)
Ubisoft reported select financial results for the first half of its fiscal year, a six-month period ended September 30, 2006. Ubisoft also confirmed that Assassin's Creed will be delayed. Read on for more details...
The company reported six month sales of €172 million compared to €153 million in the previous year. While sales were up, Ubisoft is not subject to the same reporting requirements as US corporations, and did not report net results.

The company did, however, update its release schedule. Ubisoft announced that it will release Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 in early 2007. That release will take the place of Assassin's Creed and Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, both of which will be released no earlier than the second half of 2007.

Ubisoft has also entered into an agreement with Bethesda Softworks to publish Star Trek: Legacy (for the Xbox 360 and PC), Star Trek: Tactical Assault (for the DS and PSP) and Star Trek: Encounters (for the PlayStation 2) in Europe. All three games should be released in Europe in December.
