| | Comments (0)
Infogrames, the parent company of Atari, announced certain financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30.
Infogrames reported sales for the quarter of €44.4 million (around $57.1 million) compared with €55.5 million in the same quarter the previous year. (The company is excluding €0.6 million of revenues that it received from a franchise from which it divested, so the true figure is €45.0 million.) Infogrames notes that 63% of revenues came from operations in Europe and Asia, while 37% came from the United States.

Atari, Infogrames principal North American subsidiary, reported a net loss of $7.1 million compared to a net loss of $32.8 million in the same quarter the previous year. Atari reported sales of $19.5 million for the quarter.

Infogrames revenues are still dominated by PC sales, accounting for 38% of sales, with the PSP coming in next at 23%. While discussing these results, Atari also confirmed that the next game in the Alone in the Dark franchise won't see the light of day until mid-2007.
