Paper Argues Decline in National Park Visits Related to Video Game Play and Other Media

| | Comments (0)
According to a preliminary paper on Oliver R. W. Pergams personal site, he has a paper in press for the Journal of Environmental Management in conjunction with Patricia A. Zaradic on the decline in visits to national parks. According to the authors, the decline (on a per capita basis) of park visitors is the result of media and oil prices. Of course, video games are getting the bulk of the attention, as media (in the context of this paper) include internet use, movies and video games.
