Atari Lost $67 Million Over Last Fiscal Year

Atari, the majority-owned subsidiary of French Infogrames Entertainment SA, announced its results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended March 31, 2006.
The company reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $4.26 million compared to a net loss $9.08 million in the same period the previous year. The net loss for the fiscal year was $67.05 million, compared to net income of $5.69 million the previous year.


In an effort to improve its financial performance, Atari has been restructuring its operations. This has led to a $2.5 million charge in the latest quarter, and a total of $8.9 million dollars over the last year.

The company has still not filed its annual report, claiming that it needs additional time for review.
