Gravity Shareholders Want More From Japan

| | Comments (0)
Gravity Co, Ltd is the company behind the massively multiplayer online game Ragnarok. Two of Gravity's substantial minority shareholders (Ramius Capital Group and Moon Capital Management) have formed a committee that they call "The Gravity Committee for the Fair Treatment of Minority Shareholders" to get the attention of Gravity.
These minority shareholders (called such because they don't own a controlling stake in the company) note that GungHo Online Entertainment has the license to offer Ragnarok in Japan. Rather than just renewing GungHo's license, the committee wants Gravity to either get competitive bids to market Ragnarok or for Gravity to form its own Japanese subsidiary to market the game.
