Immersion Makes Progress in Sony Patent Infringement Suit

In 2004, Immersion Corporation (a company that makes force-feedback technology for applications ranging from gaming to medicine) was awarded $90.7 million in a patent infringement suit against Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment of America. Sony appealed the judgment. Today, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California denied Sony's motion for relief from final judgment. Immersion expects this latest round of legal sparring to be completed by May.
