Bethesda Softworks Acquires Star Trek License and Announces Related Games

Bethesda Softworks announced that it has acquired the rights to create games based on Star Trek for the PC, handhelds and consoles. Simultaneously, Bethesda revealed that it is working on two Star Trek games.
Star Trek: Legacy will be released for the PC and Xbox 360, and is a tactical combat game that will put players in command of fleets of starships ranging from the Era of the Enterprise series through the Voyager series.


Bethesda Softworks is also working on a game called Star Trek: Tactical Assault that will give players command of a single starship for each of a Federation and a Klingon Campaign. Different versions of Tactical Assault will be released for the DS and PSP.
